Terms of Service
Last updated: May 26, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding contract between you and Gamerz Landing ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of Forge (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.
Forge is built for serious roleplay and creative fiction. We support dark themes, mature content, and adult storytelling — with a content standard. This document states that standard clearly. We wrote it to be read, not to be buried.
1. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or legal guardian's permission to use the Service and that they agree to these Terms on your behalf.
- The adult-content opt-in tier requires you to be at least 18 years old. By enabling adult content, you represent that you meet this age requirement. We enforce this through an age gate; you are responsible for representing your age accurately.
- You may not use the Service if doing so is prohibited by law where you live.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
- You will not share your account, sell access, create multiple accounts to evade bans or limits, or misrepresent your age to access gated features.
- You must provide accurate registration information, including a valid email address.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are violating these Terms.
3. Content Standards — What Is and Is Not Allowed
Forge supports creative fiction across a wide range, including dark, violent, and adult themes. The following rules apply to all content you create, submit, generate, share, publish, or request through the Service — including AI-generated outputs. The adult-content opt-in tier does not remove any of these restrictions.
3a. Absolute Prohibitions — No Exceptions, No Fiction Defense
The following are prohibited without exception. No framing as fiction, fantasy, roleplay, or "it's just a story" changes this. These are not edge cases we will exercise discretion about — they are hard limits that result in immediate account termination and, where required, reporting to law enforcement.
-
Sexual content involving minors (CSAM and fictional equivalents).
This includes any sexual content depicting characters who are minors — whether real or fictional, drawn, described, or generated. A character described or named as a minor is a minor. Aging up a canonically minor character does not change what the content depicts. We report confirmed CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement.
-
Ambiguous ages in sexual contexts.
If a character's age is ambiguous in sexual or romantic-explicit content, they are treated as a minor and the content is prohibited. Do not attempt to use vague or unstated ages to circumvent this rule.
-
Sexual content depicting real, identifiable people without documented consent.
This includes public figures, celebrities, private individuals, and anyone who can be identified from the content. Fan fiction that depicts a real person in sexual scenarios is prohibited.
-
Content providing operational instructions for real-world mass harm.
This includes synthesis routes for chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear weapons; working instructions for improvised explosive devices; or detailed technical guidance for attacks on critical infrastructure — regardless of fictional framing.
-
Content inciting imminent violence against a specific real person or group.
Fictional violence is permitted; targeted incitement against real, identifiable people or communities is not.
-
Doxxing and non-consensual exposure.
Publishing or generating content that reveals another person's private identifying information (home address, workplace, phone number, financial accounts) without consent.
3b. Content Prohibited Even in the Adult-Opt-In Tier
The following are prohibited regardless of whether you have enabled adult content. These go beyond legal minimums to reflect Forge's editorial standard: content that exists purely to dehumanize, harm, or circumvent platform safety rather than to tell a story.
-
Non-consensual sexual scenarios presented approvingly or eroticized.
Dark fiction may depict assault as a serious, consequential, traumatic event — in the way serious literature does. What is prohibited is content that frames non-consent as desirable, erotic, or consequence-free; content where the narrative voice celebrates or endorses the violation; or content that functions as a manual or fantasy guide for real-world sexual assault. The distinction is: depicting vs. endorsing.
-
Sexual content involving characters described as being in incestuous family relationships where one party is a minor or the relationship is non-consensual.
Adult incestuous fiction between consenting adult characters is in a gray area subject to platform moderation discretion. Sexual content involving a minor family member is covered by 3a above and is always prohibited.
-
Content designed to circumvent moderation through fictional framing.
Requesting harmful real-world information (drug synthesis, weapon construction, hacking instructions) by embedding the request in a roleplay scenario. The fictional wrapper does not change what is being requested. If the information would be harmful extracted from the story, the request is prohibited.
-
Sexualized content involving real animals.
Fictional anthropomorphized characters are a separate question handled by platform moderation discretion. Realistic depictions of sexual acts with actual animals are prohibited.
-
Extended torture, gore, or degradation content with no narrative purpose.
Violence and suffering serve narrative fiction. Content whose sole apparent purpose is the prolonged, detailed depiction of suffering, mutilation, or degradation — with no discernible story arc, consequence, or craft — is not creative writing; it is prohibited under this standard. We will exercise judgment on this category.
-
Content targeting a real, identifiable private person for harassment.
Using Forge to generate content specifically designed to intimidate, shame, harass, or threaten an identifiable private individual — regardless of how it is framed.
3c. Content Permitted in the Adult-Opt-In Tier (18+)
With adult content enabled and age verification complete, the following content is permitted, subject to all rules in 3a and 3b:
- Explicit sexual content between adult characters (human or fantastical).
- Dark romantic or intimate fiction involving morally complex scenarios, power dynamics, or taboo themes — where all parties are adults and the content serves a storytelling purpose.
- Explicit violence with narrative stakes — battles, crime, horror, war, and similar genres.
- Mature psychological themes: addiction, abuse as trauma (not glorification), moral failure, grief, revenge, obsession.
- Villain characters who hold genuinely repugnant views — written as villains, not endorsed by the platform.
3d. The Standard We Apply
When evaluating borderline content, we ask: would a serious author be willing to stand behind this in print? Dark fiction that a thoughtful writer would defend — even uncomfortable, explicit, or disturbing fiction — is generally within bounds. Content that exists purely to dehumanize, titillate through violation, or extract harmful real-world capability under fictional cover is not.
We use AI-assisted moderation, a community report system, and human review. We reserve the right to remove content, restrict features, or terminate accounts when we believe these standards have been violated. We will not debate individual moderation decisions over chat.
4. Content and Intellectual Property
- Your content. You retain ownership of original creative content you author through the Service (characters, lorebooks, scenarios, personas, chat history). You grant Gamerz Landing a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content solely to provide the Service.
- Published content. If you publish a character or asset to the Forge community library, you additionally grant other users a license to view, copy into their own libraries, and use that asset for their own roleplay. You may unpublish at any time; copies already in other users' libraries are not affected.
- AI-generated content. Outputs generated by the AI models are produced by those models, not by Gamerz Landing. We make no ownership claim to your AI outputs. AI outputs are not unique — other users may receive similar outputs from similar prompts. You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content.
- Our IP. The Forge software, branding, UI, prompts, and infrastructure are the property of Gamerz Landing or its licensors. You receive a personal, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the Service — and nothing else.
- Third-party IP. You are responsible for ensuring that characters, scenarios, and content you create or import do not infringe third-party intellectual property rights. We will respond to valid DMCA notices as described in Section 14.
5. Nature of the AI Service
Forge orchestrates large language models from third-party providers (including Anthropic and providers reached through OpenRouter). AI-generated content:
- Is produced by statistical models and may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or content you find offensive, even with filters in place.
- Is not professional advice. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, mental-health, safety-critical, or other professional purposes.
- Is your responsibility to review before sharing, publishing, or acting on.
We do not promise that any specific model, feature, or capability will remain available. Models, providers, limits, and pricing may change at any time.
6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
- Plans. Forge offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers. Each tier has published feature limits, daily message and AI-spend caps, and a monthly hard cap. The limits in effect at the time of your request are authoritative.
- Payment processor. Paid subscriptions are processed through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your saved payment method on your billing cycle and agree to Stripe's terms of service.
- Cost caps. Daily and monthly AI-spend caps are enforced in code. Once a hard monthly cap is reached, AI generation returns an error until the next billing cycle begins. This is a structural guarantee, not a best-effort estimate.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled. Cancel at any time through account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, paid fees are non-refundable. We may issue partial or full refunds for billing errors or extended outages at our sole discretion.
- Price changes. We may change prices and tier limits at any time. For active paid subscribers, price increases take effect at the start of the next billing cycle following at least 14 days' notice (email or in-product). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
- Taxes. Prices do not include applicable sales, use, VAT, or similar taxes, which may be added at checkout.
7. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that any specific model, feature, or third-party integration will remain available. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.
8. Termination
- You may stop using and delete your account at any time through account settings or by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms — particularly the content standards in Section 3 — created legal or operational risk, or repeatedly abused the Service.
- Termination for violations of Section 3a (absolute prohibitions) is immediate and without refund.
- On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We may retain data we are required to keep by law. If we terminate your paid subscription without cause, we will refund unused prepaid time prorated.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GAMERZ LANDING DOES NOT WARRANT THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR APPROPRIATE FOR ANY PURPOSE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GAMERZ LANDING AND ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Gamerz Landing and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) content you submit, generate, or publish; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws provisions. Subject to the arbitration clause below, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of state and federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah.
Arbitration. Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service (other than claims for injunctive relief or small-claims-court matters) shall be resolved by binding arbitration under JAMS or AAA consumer rules in Salt Lake County, Utah, or remotely at the arbitrator's discretion.
Class action waiver. All disputes are resolved on an individual basis. No class, collective, or representative actions.
If your jurisdiction prohibits any portion of the above, that portion does not apply to you; the rest remains in force.
13. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws, including laws regarding adult content distribution in your jurisdiction.
14. DMCA / Copyright Takedown
We respond to valid takedown notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. To report infringing content, submit a request through our Content Takedown form with the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
15. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, incorporated by reference. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how to delete your account.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
17. Miscellaneous
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any tier-specific terms presented in the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and us.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including third-party provider outages, network failures, or government action.
